Victory is firmly in sight. The aims of this campaign have been to get Phil Porter banned from keeping animals and/or force him to stop breeding and selling animals.

Three developments have transpired which bring victory even closer.

1) When asked if he was going to breed from his Chichester site again, Mr. Porter told a SARC activist, "No; you've seen to that". He has said (and we have confirmed) that the only place he can currently breed animals is in his pet shop. Mr Porter has confirmed that after the rescue of animals from his site to restart the breeding would simply cost him money he simply hasn't got.

2) SARC activists have been working with RSPCA officials behind the scenes and we are now getting to a promising position regarding the pet shop. The RSPCA have been receiving numerous complaints from the public about the conditions of the animals currently in his care, in particular a quail and a rabbit in a cage so small that it cannot sit up.

3) We have been informed that the RSPCA are conducting an internal inquiry of the whole Porter affair, and we intend to push them to enforce a ban on his keeping of animals.
